Just switched to that NASA TV channel on Hotbird satellite
and it shows this message:
'NASA TV will stop transmitting via this channel per August 28 2024'

So.. as it costs only a few hundred dollars (estimate) to keep playing their moonlanding tapes
on their old hampering 19 century equipment or whatever they use
(lots of jurking in much of their transmissions)
they must be really close to bankruptcy.

Noting much new to show for since the Moon return trips could be a reason
astronuts now stuck on the ISS and NASA wanting to bring down the ISS could also be a reason..
Hide under the table warning should go out to the world via ALL media!!!

So now no longer can reach some other countries with less high speed internet
BAD for US standing in the world.

NASA a dead end road?

May as well do away with it, private companies do better,
let them compete, SpaceX wins...

Denying life found on Mars ..

NASAA controlled by Religious Adam and Eve repeaters...

Not long ago we had a major internet blackout because of some 'upgrade'
I would keep satellite :-) It kept working!

I see more stuff moving away from satellite, Discovery channel left last year...
Free reception.... Some others left too..

Satellite internet sucks because of the high latency. Also, you need an upload channel.

This is not about internet satellite, it is (was now) a _broadcasting_ channel (24/7).
As nothing really new since the moon landings came from NASA (every day they transmitted 'small step for man big step for mankind'
and pictures of Armstrong decending a ladder on he moon)
I guess their harddisks or video tapes were wearing out.

US needs to colonize Mars to get some real content and respect.
Else China will be first and US will have to pay landing rights and the US astronuts will need visa.
Good Chinese restaurants on Mars would make the US astronuts need to bring some Chinese currency to survive..

Future!!
